So now we are up to October 2011!

After the Crews' left, our neighbor's friend arrived and we all decided to go camping in Haleakala at Hosmer's Grove.  Hosmer's Grove is almost at 7,000 ft elevation and it can get into the lower 30's at night, which was perfect to put us in the mood for Fall! see link for more information if interested!  [ http://www.nps.gov/hale/planyourvisit/drive-up-camping.htm ]

On the drive up to Hosmer's you travel above the clouds, and it is a surreal thing to witness...

Another fun Fall activity fell into town in October...the FAIR!! Oh, how I love the fair!!

the only picture i got of us! how perfect.

Patrick and I also had some memorable date nights this past Fall (i know, boring..bleh...gag me!) but for real, they were fun, so i'm going to show them off...

In late October we used our night off to travel to Lahaina to see Ulalena, a theatrical show about the spiritual history of Hawaii.  It was comparable to Cirque du Soleil (even though I haven't seen Cirque du Soleil), except it could be the Hawaiian version.  It was such a wonderful experience!  Here are a few pictures...

we were able to stay and meet the cast!

everything was ready for Halloween in Lahaina!
And finally, to really sink it in that it was Halloween season, we hit the pumpkin patch upcountry with some friends! i simply LOVED it!!  Every bit of it!! My house will look like this one day...
