Lana'i.

So we went to Lana'i...for less than 24 hours.  We had planned a whole weekend to explore and camp on Lana'i, but unfortunately a storm came in and we had to leave and head back to Maui.  No worries, though-it just means we have to go back...soon!

all the gear we had to travel with

we made it onto the ferry!!

bye bye Maui!

...helloooo Lana'i!

our campsite and the beach in front of it

the Four Seasons next to the campsite

the trail that leads wooks straight into stardom

can't believe they let us in here...

dinner time

happy Mardi Gras!!

our lil friend for the night-which is kind of cool because in certain cultures it is said that a moth represents the soul of a loved one, alive dead or dying.  When a moth flies into the room it means the one whom you love the most is coming to see you! We enjoyed him.

well, the second day, before we were able to get our jeep rental, a storm set it and we had to flee Lana'i because it was supposed to last all weekend (which it did).  This was our refuge before the ferry came.

the storm has arrived.

hahaha Patrick was the straggler (go figure) and had to bring the rest of our stupplies-in the rain.

justa chillin', sippin' on some coconuts.

Big Beach! a beautiful day after an entire weekend of rain!

Pat and Tedo-at Mama's Fish House for Tedo's farewell dinner!

at Mama's...we just can't get enough!

Ok, before you get SUPER annoyed with me...i will forewarn you all-the next pics are of some specifics at Mama's Fish House.  Last time we went Mrs. Vicki had asked for pics of the menu so this time i made sure to document every meal! Enjoy...(and if you don't then hold down your scroll button until further notice)!

as soon as you sit down they hand you a drink menu (left) and then later they come by with the dinner menu (right)

an example of the drink menu...(of COURSE we got the alcohol free ones!)

the dinner menu-all the fish! extremely fresh-they even tell you who caught the fish!

this is a sampler house tomato bisque soup and some poi ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poi_%28food%29  click here for some fun info on poi).  Poi tastes like...well, think about eating playdoh with a mouse texture.

fresh ahi sashimi-so delicious it's like buttah!

our maui onion soup and house salad (i'm getting hungry thinking about this...)

cheers! to friends!

this is my Ono (first choice on the menu if you want to read about it)

Patrick's Stuffed MahiMahi

Tedo's Opakapaka, Ahi, and Mahi Curry

Shaunte's Tofu (it even looked delicious)

it was Mustache March in case anyone is wondering

and last but not least...our Dessert menu!

Tropical Fruit Sorbet and Banana Macadamia Nut Crisp...Heaven!
Mama's was fantastic again! It never disappoints! I hope St. Paddy's Parade 2011 was INSANE! Hope all is well with everyone! Hunter is doing GREAT! and we are too!

Love to all! xoxo,
Lace and Pat
