Vday and Whale Day

'loha brohas!

Picking up where i left off-Valentine's Day! I worked all day and Patrick worked all night, so Tedo and  i enjoyed a nice dindin together (he cooked) and then went to Ley's for Crub Clanium.  Ley and Steve got engaged that day, so we all went over to celebrate with them!

Tedo cooking me some DELICIOUS alfredo!

happy V day to us!! cheers!

playing Cranium-Tedo was good!

my gift from P! sea glass jewelry-necklace and earrings! i don't know if you can read this, but sea glass is collected from the shores of the ocean and it is coke bottles or wine bottles or whatnot that has been tossed around so much that it becomes rounded on the ends and then people find it and make it into jewelry. Very unique and beautiful!

Pat's gift from me-i thought his dead towel was stolen with the car so i got him a new one...just in time to realize his old one was still at our house! ;)

Happy V Day!!

Whale Day was February 19th! Whale Day is a festival that helps support and raise money for the Humpback whales that travel through our waters.  It is put on by the Pacific Whale Foundation (also a good company to take a whale watch with) and they invite many musical guests, food vendors, and arts and crafts booths to participate and make the entire event fun for families and people of all ages.  They also put on a parade in the morning, but unfortunately we didn't make it to that!

a Marlin created by a local artist made from all recycled materials.

Shaunte and Pat-SHOUTOUT to Andj-Doors and More!! what! what!

all these poor lil coconuts just waiting to be adopted!

my new pet!

Our new pet-he feels right at home! (and our landlord, Chris, affectionately named him Tedo after Tedo's departure)

hanging out at Sunday Funday at Little Beach again!

Well, that's all for now! We are almost to the present-just one more blog to go with our Lana'i trip! Hopefully to come later this week!

Updates-We survived the 2011 tsunami! We were safe at our house, but were quite exhausted from waiting up for it!  It didn't hit until around 5:30 a.m. on Maui.  It did cause some major damage on the Big Island, but fortunately here it didn't do much.  It caused some flooding here in Kihei and in Kahului it caused flooding and damage to the harbor and boats on the harbor.  Prayers still appreciated for those affected and our hearts go out to Japan and anyone/thing/families who were hurt or affected in any way! And i know it sounds silly, but we feel so loved from all the support and kind words everyone texted/called/tweeted/posted on the book to us, so thank you all so much! It helped more than you know!!

My nephew, Hunter, was also severely hurt yesterday and had to have immediate brain surgery, but he is doing OK! Thanks so much to everyone for your prayers and support through the past week with everything going on! Keep praying for lil Hunt and Andy, Kris, and Addison!  I wish i could be there with y'all!  i love and miss my family more than anything!

On a lighter note-St. Patty's is coming up!! and the parade in JXN! ahhh! @mikephlood @lewis_gray @lawin724 @laferguson1 @rachelbolanos @lambert_thomas @lizzythomas86 @tmwalke2 @richardmattiace @victorcobb @bryson_moore @katiemallette#iwishyouhadtwitter and the rest of the crew...keep it real for us!! another 5 a.m. to 5 a.m.'er!! (and don't forget the food coloring...that was always pat's job)

xoxo,
Lacey and Patrick
